August Debouzy advised Aura Aero, a Toulouse-based aircraft manufacturer, in connection with its approximately €50 million Series B fundraising, carried out with a consortium of leading investors including Bpifrance, Innovacom, Safran Corporate Ventures, the European Innovation Council Fund, Blast and Floriday Opportunity Fund.
This fundraising forms part of a broader €340 million financing package aimed at supporting the development of Aura Aero’s hybrid and electric regional aircraft programmes, as well as the industrialisation of its operations in France and the United States.
Founded in 2018, Aura Aero designs and develops low-carbon aircraft, combining electric and hybrid propulsion technologies for regional aviation and training markets. This transaction will enable the company to accelerate the deployment of its industrial projects and strengthen its position in the fast-growing sustainable aviation sector.
The August Debouzy team advising Aura Aero was composed of Antoine Ricol (partner), Valéry Denoix de Saint Marc (partner), Maxime Legourd (counsel), Juliette Vachet (associate) and Hortense Coulon (associate) on corporate matters, as well as Jennifer Hinge (partner) on financing aspects.
The investors were advised by Degroux Brugère, Chammas & Marcheteau and Bignon Lebray.
