Biography

Laurent Cotret joined August Debouzy in 2006 and is a Partner in the Restructuring team.

He advises French and international clients facing complex situations, whether financial difficulties, including with creditors, notably banks, shareholder disputes, or contractual disputes with co-contractors that could destabilize or weaken the company.

He is particularly active in financial debt restructuring and renegotiation, as well as in negotiations and disputes with financially distressed co-contractors, with the aim of protecting his clients’ strategic interests.

Laurent previously worked at Natixis as a corporate finance lawyer.

He teaches at the master’s degree programs of the CNAM (National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts), in Paris, and of the University of Champagne.
