In addition to his private equity work, he has built a robust track record in handling complex industrial M&A transactions for both listed and unlisted companies.

His appointment underscores August Debouzy’s commitment to supporting clients through increasingly sophisticated and transformational transactions, marking a strategic milestone for the firm’s Private Equity practice. Ricol joins a distinguished Private Equity and M&A team that includes partners Gilles August, Julien Aucomte, Jérôme Brosset, Valéry Denoix de Saint Marc, Étienne Mathey (with whom Ricol shares a professional background at Paul Hastings), and Julien Wagmann.

Antoine Ricol, 39, began his career at the law firm Veil Jourde before joining Paul Hastings in Paris in 2015, followed by McDermott Will & Emery as Counsel in 2021. A graduate of Panthéon-Assas University (Master’s degree, 2007) and Bond University (LL.M, 2009), he was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2011.
